Disneyland

Tigger:
Oh the wonderful thing about Tigger’s
Tigger’s a wonderful thing
His head’s made out of rubber
And his tails made out of springs.
He bounces bounces bounces
Bounces all day long
But the bestest thing about Tigger’s
Is I’m the only one.

Ok, so I went to Disneyland, made a big huff when it was decided that we would go to the newer park with bigger rides, and was much happier when we discovered that there was a park hopper ticket that allows you to visit both parks in the same day for only $20 more.

What? I’m a big kid. You should know that by now. Yes, I wanted to do the Winnie the pooh ride and the Dumbo ride and the king Arthur’s carrousel… is that so wrong?!

When we got off the Winnie the pooh ride the guy there said “have a Tiggerific day” or something like that. Judi heard that, turned and looked at him, and said “do they pay you to say that?!” The thing is, she has quite a broad accent, if you’ve heard her speak you know what I mean, it just made the thing that much more fun. As we walked away she kept saying “I didn’t mean to say that. I really didn’t. It just came out. I was only meant to think it.” And that sort of thing.

Oh, and there was this other ride which was this “jungle cruise” thing where we were sat I a boat and had a guide telling you about different parts of the trail that they had set up. Of course our guide had to be a know-it-all sorta guy. As we were first in the queue for the next boat, when we got on he started talking to us while the other people got on. So he asked this group of people behind us where they were from, and they said Hawaii. He then asked where we were from, so mum said England. He then went into this accent that was sort of a cross between American Australian and English and said “like totally dude.” To which Judi, who was sitting closest to him replied, in a perfect imitation of the accent he had just put on “like totally not dude” which got the rest of us in tears laughing. He then offered her the microphone thing and asked her to say that again. But she got shy and wouldn’t.

Now for those of you who are wondering, this is a BIG DEAL!! My sister NEVER shies away from anything… ever! Especially something that includes entertaining other people and making them laugh etc.

Um, what else have I been doing? Oh, went to Universal Studios as well. That was pretty cool. There were less rides there, but then that’s to be expected I suppose. Went on a tour of the studios, despite there being filming happening at the time. of course we weren’t allowed down those bits, but hey. Saw the sets where they made films such as Spiderman, Spiderman 2, the stages where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean, CSI etc.

Ok, have just come back from walking the walk of fame… or at least a fair whack of it. There are a hell of a lot of stars on the walk. And that’s just on Hollywood boulevard. They’ve got so many they’ve had to start on vine street. But saw quite a few of people I knew, even more of people I have never heard of. And then we went to see the courtyard where the stars have their hands and feet in concrete. It’s strange, Donald duck had both a star and concrete prints, yet Mickey mouse only has a star. I think I’m thinking too much about that. So I’ll stop now.

Oh, and there is an update that is in the works for what happened before this one, but like I said, it’s in the works, and this one is ready now.
